IceHogs in Giving Spirit During December

Rockford, Ill. - With the holidays just around the corner, the Rockford IceHogs want to stuff your stockings full with four premium giveaways on the schedule for the month of December.
The IceHogs open up the home portion of their December schedule with a pair of games at the BMO Harris Bank Center on Friday, Dec. 7 against Milwaukee and Saturday, Dec. 8 against Chicago.
The first 1,500 adults (21 and over) into the building to see the IceHogs take on the Chicago Wolves on Dec. 8 will get an IceHogs glass mug. The mug is the second of a two-piece set courtesy of Applebee's, with the first given away in early November. The game is also Teddy Bear Toss Night. Fans are encouraged to bring a new stuffed animal to throw onto the ice after the IceHogs score their first goal. The furry friends will be collected and donated to several local charities and hospitals.
The popular IceHogs baseball hat giveaway is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 15 as the Hogs host the Hamilton Bulldogs. The first 2,500 fans through the gates will pick up a hat thanks to Xfinity. Following the game, team captain Martin St. Pierre will shave his head and donate his hair to Locks of Love. Fans can also donate their own hair at each IceHogs game leading up to the post-game event.
Blackhawks Ambassador Night returns to the BMO Harris Bank Center on Saturday, Dec. 22 thanks to U.S. Cellular. Blackhawks Hall of Famer Stan Mikita will be at the game signing autographs for fans on the main concourse. The first 2,500 fans will receive a Stan Mikita mini-stick compliments of U.S. Cellular.
Kids can get their favorite giveaway of the year on Saturday, Dec. 29 as the first 1,000 kids (14 and under) will pick up a youth jersey courtesy of Rockford Orthopedic.
Additionally, every IceHogs game in December and all remaining games in 2012-13, Toyota is giving one lucky fan a chance to win a brand new car during the second intermission in the Toyota Showcase Shootout.

All game dates, times and promotions are subject to change. Next Home Game: Friday, Dec. 7 vs. Milwaukee Admirals: Game time is 7:05 p.m. The Admirals and IceHogs meet for the second time this season, both so far at the BMO"Harris Bank"Center. The Midwest Division rivals will faceoff a total of 12 times this season, including five times in December.
