Hillcats and Nationals Cancelled on Saturday

Lynchburg, Va. - Tonight's Game Two of a double-header between the Lynchburg Hillcats and the Potomac Nationals has been cancelled due to rain. The game will not be made up, as the teams already have two separate double-headers scheduled over the next four days.

Lynchburg beat Potomac, 5-3, in the first game of the twin bill, as rain ensued between contests.

Saturday's cancellation marks the third game that Lynchburg has had wiped from their scheduled in the first half. Rain also canceled the May 28 game against Buies Creek and the June 3 affair against Frederick.

Lynchburg's homestand will conclude on Sunday, with the series finale against Potomac. Right-hander Justin Garza (2-3, 4.65) will start for the Hillcats against P-Nats righty Tyler Mapes (4-1, 2.15). First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. at City Stadium.

Sunday will be Sandlot Sunday, featuring post-game kids the run the bases, family catch in the outfield and wiffle ball.

Max Gun will be on the air at 1:50 p.m. with the Hillcats pre-game show on TuneIn Radio and the Radio434 App.
