
Graterol Takes Bite Out Of Stone Crabs

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Brusdar Graterol allowed just one run in seven innings to help the Fort Myers Miracle defeat the Charlotte Stone Crabs, 3-2, on Wednesday night at Hammond Stadium.
Graterol (4-2) carried a no-hitter into the sixth. He walked three and struck out six. The right-hander yielded three hits.
Ben Rortvedt opened the scoring with an RBI single in the second before Caleb Hamilton made it 2-0 in favor of the Miracle with a sacrifice fly.
Jose Miranda pushed the lead to 3-0 with a sixth inning single. Miranda finished 2-3 with a walk.
Charlotte closed to 3-2 in the eighth on a Robbie Tenerowicz two-run double.
Alex Kirilloff extended his hitting streak to 13-games with a second inning double. He went 4-4 with two doubles and a run scored.
Adam Bray notched his second save with two innings of relief. He allowed one run. Bray struck out four, including the side in the ninth.
Charlotte's Jose Mujica (1-1) took the loss after allowing two runs in five innings.
The win moves the Miracle to within 0.5 games of the Stone Crabs in the second half South Division.
The Miracle can win their ninth consecutive series with a victory in the series finale on Thursday night. First pitch is 7:00 p.m.
