Grand Junction Jackalopes News Release

Coco Montes and Grant Lavigne had two hits, but the Grand Junction Rockies lost for the third straight night, falling to the Great Falls Voyagers 4-0 Saturday night at Centene Stadium.

Montes and Lavigne combined for four of the Rockies five hits as a Will Golsan single was the only other knock the Rockies had on the night as they fall to 13-16 on the season.

The quiet offensive night wasted a terrific start from Alejandro Mejia who allowed just three runs, one earned, over six innings. He surrendered six hits and walked just one as he falls to 1-3 on the season. Jake Bird struck out two in a 1-2-3 seventh inning.

The Voyagers took the lead with an unearned run in the third, and Jhoandro Alfaro doubled home Ramon Beltre in the fifth, and after Great Falls added another unearned run in the sixth, Lenyn Sosa homered off Jared Skolnicki in the eighth. Sosa had the only multi-hit game for the Voyagers. He scored after his sixth inning double as the Voyagers won their fifth straight game.
