MISSOULA, MONT - The Missoula Osprey (15-14) recorded a season-high 18 hits en route to a 12-0 shutout win against the Idaho Falls Chukars (16-13) Saturday from Melaleuca Field.

Missoula's offense started quickly in the first inning when Cesar Garcia tripled with one out. He came around to score on a Buddy Kennedy RBI single. The Osprey then posted five runs in the second inning off starting pitcher Jonathan Bowlan (1-1). With two outs, Joe Robbins and Brandon Leyton hit singles while David Sanchez roped a double to score Robbins. Jesus Marriaga singled home two runs to push the Osprey lead to 4-0. Marcos Tineo (1-1) tossed three up, three down frames in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings to complete his night. The right-hander allowed two hits and no runs, striking out four in six innings.

The Osprey offense did not slow down entering the seventh as Zack Shannon started with a single. After a wild pitch, Zac Almond drove an RBI triple to score Shannon and give Missoula an 8-0 advantage. Nick Dalesandro brought home Almond with a sacrifice fly. Garcia plated a run in the eighth on a fielder's choice to give Missoula a 10-0 lead.
