Gladiators Add Forwards Aaron Bendickson and Justin

The Gwinnett Gladiators have agreed to terms with forwards Justin Milo and Aaron Bendickson for the 2010-2011 season.

Milo played at the University of Vermont over the past two seasons. He began his collegiate career with Cornell University during the 2006-07 season before he transferred to Vermont. He averaged over a point a game last season with Vermont and earned 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) in 20 games.

The Edina, Minnesota, native recorded 51 points (24 goals, 27 assists) in 83 career collegiate games from 2006-20010 with Vermont and Cornell.

Bendickson skated with the University of Wisconsin for the past four seasons. He had his best collegiate season last year with the Badgers and earned 22 points (12 goals, 10 assists) in 43 games. In his four year collegiate career, Bendickson recorded 40 points (20 goals, 20 assists) in 147 games with the Badgers.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound native of Thief River Falls, Minnesota, played two seasons in the United States Hockey League with Des Moines, Cedar Rapids and Indiana before he attended the University of Wisconsin. In two seasons in the USHL from 2005-2006, Bendickson earned 30 points (13 goals, 17 assists) in 53 games. He also appeared in 11 playoff games with Des Moines in 2006 and earned seven points.

The Gwinnett Gladiators open the 2010-11 season on the road before returning home to host the South Carolina Stingrays on Friday, October 22nd at 7:35 p.m. The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
