After Florida opened the scoring in the first period, C Mathew Sisca knotted up the contest at 1-1 with a goal midway through the second frame. The two teams went tied by that 1-1 score into the extra frame, where C Ryan Cruthers fired a slap shot past G Rob Madore to boost Orlando to a 2-1 win.
