Idaho Stampede News Release

Boise, IDAHO - Andre Dawkins led the Sioux Falls Skyforce in a 127-98 victory over the Idaho Stampede Friday night. Dawkins scored a game-high 28 points off the bench and helped the Skyforce pull away in the second half.

The Stampede closed the second quarter on a 17-5 run and carried that momentum into the second half. Idaho started the third quarter on an 11-2 run and grabbed a 68-60 lead. Sioux Falls answered with a run of their own (32-10) and took a 92-78 advantage into the final period. Dawkins and Scotty Hopson scored nine and eight points respectively in the third to help the visitors secure the lead.

Idaho couldn't catch up in the fourth quarter, being outscored 35-20 in the final period. The Stampede shot just 34 percent in the second half compared to the 47 percent shot in the first half. Jared Cunningham scored a team-high 24 points while shooting 8-for-8 from the free-throw stripe. Jerrelle Benimon (18 points, 8 rebounds) and Brandon Fields (17 points, 8 assists) helped keep the game within striking distance, but Sioux Falls proved to be too strong down the stretch.

Hopson finished with 20 points on 8-for-12 shooting, as Sioux Falls shot 57 percent from the field as a team. Shawn Jones (18 points, 11 rebounds) and Khem Birch (12 points, 13 rebounds) each posted double-doubles and contributed to the Skyforce's control of the paint (54 points in the paint on 27-37 shooting).

The two teams square off again tomorrow night in Idaho's final home game of the season.
