Blue Acquires Rodney Williams

OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 24, 2015 - The Oklahoma City Blue has acquired guard Rodney Williams from the Delaware 87ers in exchange for a 2015 third round draft pick, the team announced today. The traded pick was originally acquired by Oklahoma City from the Idaho Stampede in a previous transaction.

Williams (6-7, 205) saw action in 33 games (26 starts) for the 87ers in 2013-14, averaging 9.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 27.9 minutes. The guard shot 46.3 percent from the field and scored in double figures on seven occasions. Williams originally joined Delaware as an affiliate player after spending training camp with the Philadelphia 76ers.

A three-year starter at the University of Minnesota, Williams shot 51.2 percent from the floor over his four-year collegiate career. He averaged 10.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 blocks during his senior season and led the Gophers in scoring as a junior with 12.2 points.

In a related move, Oklahoma City has waived Mario Little.
