Bakersfield, California "" The Stampede lost the first of the two-game series against the Bakersfield Jam 97-109 putting Idaho to a 4-21 record this season.
Jerrelle Benimon (25 points, 9 rebounds), Joel Wright (21 points, 11 rebounds), and Jack Cooley (12 points, 9 rebounds) led the Stampede for the night. Despite only being down six points going into the fourth quarter, Idaho turned over the ball 20 times counting for 35 of the Jam's points.
Idaho was able to out-rebound the Jam 47-38, but the Jam was on target from beyond the arc shooting 42 percent (8 of 19).
While on assignment from the Phoenix Suns Tyler Ennis and TJ Warren had combined score of 51.
The Stampede has a chance for redemption tomorrow night against the Bakersfield Jam tipping off 8:00 p.m. MST.
