New England Revolution News Release
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - New England Revolution Under-14 midfielder Isaac Angking (Providence, R.I.) has been called in to the U.S. Under-15 team camp by head coach John Hackworth. Angking is one of 36 players that have been called into the week-long camp, which will run from December 13-20 in Bradenton, Fla.
"This is another great opportunity and a privilege for Isaac to be called in to this U-15 camp," Revolution director of youth development Bryan Scales said. "He'll continue to learn what it takes to be successful at the highest level. John Hackworth and his staff will certainly challenge him each and every day. It'll be a very valuable experience."
This is the second time that Angking has been invited to a youth national team camp, having also been included in head coach Brian Johnson's U.S. Under-14 camp that was held in August 2014 in Carson, Calif.
Angking is currently in his second season with the Revolution Academy, having played for both the club's U-14 and U-16 teams. During the 2014-15, Angking has made 12 appearances, all of which have come with the Revs' U-16s, scoring three goals and adding one assist. He has also made two appearances for the Revolution at the Generation adidas cup, which is Major League Soccer's annual elite youth tournament for U-17 academy teams. In the 2013-14 season, Angking made 23 appearances with the Revs' U-14s, tallying a team-best seven assists and finishing second with nine goals scored.
