Riversharks Rally to Beat Skeeters, 4-3

Sugar Land Space Cowboys News Release
The Sugar Land Skeeters could not stop an eighth-inning rally by the visiting Camden Riversharks and lost, 4-3, on Friday night. The Skeeters led 3-1 after seven innings on a great effort from their starting pitcher, Jason Lane. After receiving the news that his father had passed away Tuesday, Lane still chose to take his turn in the rotation and pitch with a heavy heart. He pitched seven innings and only allowed one run on four hits.
The Skeeters scored two runs in the second inning on a two-run single by Adam Godwin, and another in the fourth when Jeff Dominguez delivered an RBI single to drive home Dominic Ramos. That was the end of the Skeeters' scoring, however, and the Riversharks rallied, scoring three times in the eighth off Roberto Giron (2-2), who took the loss.
Up Next: The Skeeters meet the Riversharks in Game five of the six-game series, Saturday at 6:05 p.m. Skeeters RHP Matt Wright (7-0, 2.78 ERA) will take the mound against Camden's RHP Josh Walter (3-5, 5.63 ERA). Saturday will feature the Farmers Fireworks Series at Constellation Field.
