Birmingham Barons News Release
Birmingham, AL - The Birmingham Barons have announced a partnership with Southern Airways Express. As part of the arrangement, Southern will provide free flights to the 200,000th and 300,000th fan at Regions Field this season.
Southern Airways is a new air carrier that will provide service from Birmingham to Destin, Panama City, and Gulf Shores beginning June 26th, with more locations to come in the fall.
The 200,000th fan will receive two complimentary tickets to any destination that Southern Airways Express serves, while the 300,000th fan will take home three tickets. Each winner will also have the opportunity to throw out a first pitch prior to the game.
"We're excited to partner with Southern Airways Express and look forward to celebrating and welcoming our 200,000th and 300,000th fan to Regions Field," said Barons General Manager Jonathan Nelson.
"As the newest air carrier in America, Southern Airways is pleased to be a corporate partner with the team that has the newest (and best!) ballpark in the South," said Southern Airways Chairman and CEO Stan Little. "Our "Southern Service" will take you back to the glory days of flying, when the journey was as much fun as the destination. Enjoy a night with the Barons, and get a chance to win a weekend at the beach! There are TWO new games in town-- the Birmingham Barons and Birmingham's hometown air carrier, Southern Airways."
