RENTON, Wash. - Seattle Sounders FC forward Eddie Johnson has been voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) for Week 12. Johnson scored two goals in Seattle's 4-2 win over league-leading FC Dallas on Saturday to help Sounders FC extend its unbeaten streak to six games.

It is the third time since Johnson joined Sounders FC that he has been voted MLS Player of the Week. He previously won the honor versus the LA Galaxy in Week 22 and Chivas USA in Week 27 last season.

Johnson staked Seattle to an early lead against Dallas with his opening goal in the 30th minute. He later scored the game-winner in the 62nd minute for his team-leading fourth goal of the season.

The MLS Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by a panel of journalists from NASR. The group consists of members of print, television, radio and online media. More information and membership information can be found at http://www.soccerreporters.com/ .
