
Patriots Rally Past Revolution with 5-4 Victory

York, PA - The Somerset Patriots (14-6) notched their seventh come from behind win on the young season by edging the York Revolution (11-10) 5-4 Thursday night from Sovereign Bank Stadium. The Patriots and Revolution split the entertaining four game midweek series.
Third baseman Andy Marte gave York an early 2-0 lead as he blasted a two run home run (4) to deep left-center field in the bottom of the first inning.
Marte, who leads the Atlantic League in RBI with 24, recorded another clutch RBI as this time he singled in the third inning to plate a run that increased the York lead to 3-0.
Somerset rallied in the top of the sixth inning as they batted around registering six hits while scoring five runs to take a 5-3 lead which they would not relinquish. Designated hitter Mike Wilson slugged a RBI double off the 38 foot high wall in left field. Right fielder Luis Montanez poked a two RBI single up the middle which tied the game at 3-3. Center fielder Ahron Eggleston legged out an infield RBI single to give Somerset the lead and then second baseman Jonny Tucker slapped a RBI single to left field to provide an insurance run that made the score 5-3 in favor of Somerset.
York cut the deficit in half as designated hitter Wilson Batista slugged a two out solo home run (1) to right field to make the score 5-4 which would be the final score.
Josh Lowey (2-1) earned the win as he had a quality start tossing six innings giving up just three runs. Michael Wuertz (0-1) suffered the loss in relief. Jon Hunton converted his eighth straight save by pitching a flawless ninth inning.
