(Bridgeport, Conn. - May 9, 2013) - The Bridgeport Bluefish defeated the Camden Riversharks 7-6 in Thursday evening's game at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard.

It was an exciting finish that went down to the ninth inning. Adam Carr (2-1) entered the last frame with a 6-4 advantage and was looking to close out Camden. A pair of singles left runners on first and second with two-outs. Clean-up hitter Raul Padron smacked a line drive to the left center gap that was just out of the reach of the diving Austin Krum. The double scored both runners and tied the game at six.

With one-out in the bottom of the ninth inning, Sam Greenberg stepped into the box. Greenberg who had entered the game after designated hitter Alexis Gomez tossed from the contest in the seventh inning for arguing a pick-off play at first; worked the count and drew a walk in his first career professional plate appearance. Luis Lopez followed that up with a single that left runners at the corners.

Jordan Ellis (1-1) intentionally walked Matt Spencer to load the bases, setting up a force out at every bag. Prentice Redman who was in the line-up after missing the last three games, put together an impressive at-bat. After multiple foul balls to stay alive, on the tenth pitch from Ellis, Redman hit a hard line drive to the third baseman Eduardo Perez. The ball got underneath the glove of Perez and Greenberg scooted home for the winning run.

Brother Adam Greenberg and the rest of the Bluefish raced from the dugout and greeted Sam Greenberg with open arms.

Hunter Jones got the start for Bridgeport and didn't factor into the decision. He gave up eight hits in six plus innings and allowed four runs (three earned).

Camden started Mike McGuire. He pitched six innings of four hit ball (three earned) and didn't factor into the decision either.

Adam Carr got the win for Bridgeport while the loss went to Jordan Ellis.

Dan Barbero kept the 'Fish swimming throughout the game. He reached base three times (1-for-2, 2B) and scored each one of those times. Prentice Redman drove in two runs, while Adam Greenberg and Matt Spencer each had one RBI.
