Regina Pats News Release

Regina, Saskatchewan - The Central Scouting Service released its Final Rankings for the 2013 NHL Draft in New Jersey this morning. Two Pats players were listed in the top 150 North American Skaters with both F Morgan Klimchuk and D Kyle Burroughs getting the nod.

Klimchuk sits ranked 25th among North American Skaters on the final list. The Calgary, AB product finished the season with 36 goals and 40 assists for 76 points on the campaign. Currently, Klimchuk is suiting up for Team Canada at the World U18 Hockey Championships in Sochi, Russia where the Pats sniper has five points (2G, 3A) in four games for Canada in preliminary round action.

Burroughs was a big time mover between the mid-term and final rankings as the dependable defenceman jumped 73 spots from 206th mid-season to 133rd in the final rankings. The young defenceman had a stellar second half to the season as he anchored a Pats blue-line hobbled by injuries. The Langley, B.C. native finished the year fifth on the Pats in scoring with 33 points (5G, 28A). Burroughs tallied 26 of his 33 points in the second half of the season and featured a +3 plus/minus rating down the stretch.
