Brahmas Announce Postseason Roster

FORT WORTH, Texas (March 26) - The Fort Worth Brahmas announced its playoff roster Tuesday in preparation for the team's opening-round series versus the Quad City Mallards, set to begin Thursday, March 28 at the NYTEX Sports Centre.
The Brahmas will go with forwards Tomas Klempa, Sy Nutkevitch, Phil Fox, Brendon Hodge, John Snowden, Adam Hogg, Calin Wild, Taylor McReynolds and Shawn Szydlowski. The defensemen on the roster include Ross Rouleau, Eric Tallent, Ricky Helmbrecht, Nick Schneider, Cole Ruwe, Tyler Amburgey, Derrick Pallis and Jared Lavender - signed Monday after clearing waivers.
Kristofer Westblom and Brad Fogal will be the team's goaltenders.
A new addition to the Central Hockey League postseason roster is the ability to place a player on the injured reserve. This player will miss the entire first round, but can be activated in place of another player before a subsequent series. The Brahmas placed rookie forward Austin Mayer on the postseason injured reserve.
CHL teams can also add two players on amateur try-out contracts. These players will not count against the salary cap or 19-active roster. Fort Worth has not signed any amateur players at this time.
The Brahmas open their first-round, best-of-seven series versus the Quad City Mallards Thursday, March 28 at the NYTEX Sports Centre. The game is set for 7:00pm. Fort Worth will also host the second game of the series at NYTEX Saturday, March 30 at 7:30pm. Saturday's game will feature an on-ice Easter egg hunt as well as an appearance by the Easter Bunny.
