Brown Named Oakley's CHL Goaltender of the Week

GLENDALE, AZ (March 26, 2013) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Arizona Sundogs goaltender David Brown has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period ending March 24, 2013.

Brown played all three games for the Sundogs in their season-ending three-game set with the third place Fort Worth Brahmas and won all three games while securing a pair of shutouts. The Stoney Creek, Ontario native finished with 72 saves on 74 shots (.973 save percentage).

On Wednesday, Brown stopped 22 shots in a 6-2 Arizona win. He then had back-to-back shutouts stopping 26 shots in Friday's 4-0 win and 24 shots in Saturday's 2-0 win. Brown finishes the regular season with a 125:07 scoreless minute streak.

On the season, the 6-0, 185-pound goalie is 15-15-1 with three shutouts (tied for second in the league) and a 2.69 goals against average and a .910 save percentage.
