Mavericks Announce Playoff Roster

INDEPENDENCE, Missouri - The Missouri Mavericks of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced Tuesday the team's roster for the 2013 CHL Presidents' Cup Playoffs.

The Mavericks have 20 players on the roster including newly acquired defenseman Evan Zych. The Kilbride, Ontario native is one of two amateurs the Mavericks are allowed to add for the playoffs. He recently finished his fourth season at Holy Cross College where he had 17 points (1-1617) in 36 games played.

The Missouri Mavericks will face the Rapid City Rush in the opening round of the playoffs. The series will start on Fri., March 29 in Rapid City and will follow a 2-3-2 format. The fifth-seeded Mavericks will host games three, four and five (if necessary) at Independence Events Center on April 3, 5 and 6.
