Holiday's Career Night Leads Stampede to Win

RENO, Nevada, March 7, 2013 - Justin Holiday has set a career high in scoring for the fourth time in his last six games - this time, he finished with 38 points as the Idaho Stampede beat the Reno Bighorns 114-107. He also added six rebounds, five assists and four steals, continuing his streak to 10 games with at least two steals.

One of the league favorites for Defensive Player of the Year has recorded eight games of four or more steals, 14 games with two or more blocks and 16 games of six or more rebounds, while also shooting 38 percent from the three-point line entering tonight.

In the first seven games of the team's 8-game road trip, Holiday is averaging over 26 points per game. He finished 14-of-21 and 4-of-5 from three-point land for Idaho (13-24). The Stampede got 16 points and seven assists from Coby Karl. Reggie Hamilton added 14 points, Durrell Summers had 13 and Justin Harper notched 12 points and eight rebounds. The third quarter turned the tide for Idaho, as they made 62.5 percent of their shots and outscored Reno 36-25 in the quarter thanks to Holiday and Hamilton, who had 10 and 12 points, respectively.

The Stampede trailed by as many as 15, but made 12-of-22 threes, while committing just two turnovers in the second half. Samardo Samuels led the Bighorns with 30 points and 12 rebounds, while Ronald Dupree had 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Idaho travels to play Santa Cruz on Saturday at 8 p.m. (MST) as the final game on their 8-game, 7-city, 16-day road trip. Every Stampede game can be seen live and for free on NBADLeague.com via YouTube.
