
Hitmen extend home-winning streak to seven games

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen defeated the Regina Pats 5-2 Sunday evening at the Scotiabank Saddledome, sweeping the four-game season series against the East Division club. The Hitmen, now 39-17-1-3 on the season, extend their home-winning streak to seven games.
Zane Jones netted a pair of goals for Calgary, while Brady Brassart, now with points in five consecutive games, Pavlo Padakin, and Colten Mayor also scored in the win. Mayor's single tally marked his first goal with Calgary since the Hitmen acquired the 19-year-old forward from the Pats at the WHL Trade Deadline. Victor Rask (3a), Brooks Macek (1a) and Greg Chase (1a) each extended their point streaks to six, five and three games, respectively.
Rookie netminder Mack Shields made 13 saves to record his 10th win of the season.
The Hitmen next see action on Friday, February 22 when Calgary hosts the Prince Albert Raiders. Game time is 7 p.m. at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
