Rockford IceHogs News Release

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs (23-25-1-1) return to the BMO Harris Bank Center for their second game in as many nights, coming off an offensive outburst in a 7-2 win over the Abbotsford Heat. Tonight, the Hogs host the Lake Erie Monsters (24-20-2-5) at 5:05 p.m.

The first 1,000 kids (14 and under) into the building will pick up a Hammy toothbrush holder bobblehead, compliments of Riverside Dental. For tickets to tonight's contest or any remaining IceHogs game, call (815) 968-5222, visit icehogs.com or stop by the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office or any Ticketmaster outlet.

The IceHogs and Monsters square off for the first time since the Hogs took back-to-back games against Lake Erie on Nov. 23 and 24. Rockford is looking to sweep the four game season series with Lake Erie after dropping all four contests a season ago. The last time the IceHogs swept a team in the regular season came during the 2010-11 campaign when the Hogs swept the Hamilton Bulldogs.

All fans planning to attend the game today are encouraged to bring their ice skates to take part in the final "Skate with the Hogs" of the season. Following the game, fans with skates will be invited onto the BMO Harris Bank Center ice alongside their favorite players. Patrons without skates can still participate in the meet and greet by going to the lower endzone of sections 111-115 to get autographs.

Tonight's game can be seen locally on 23.2 Antenna TV, Comcast channel-436, Charter channel-970, Mediacom channel-101, or online with AHL Live. A free radio web stream can also be found at AHLLive.com (located at the top-right of the screen).

Rockford raced out of the gate last night against Abbotsford, tying a franchise-record by tallying five goals in the first period. The IceHogs added one more in the second and third periods to dominate the Heat, 7-2. Goaltender Carter Hutton picked up his 17th victory of the season, turning aside 21 Abbotsford chances.

Next Home Game: Friday, Feb. 22 vs. Grand Rapids. The IceHogs battle the Midwest Division leading Griffins for the eighth time and final time of the season. The first 2,500 fans to the game will receive an IceHogs water bottle thanks to Rock Valley Culligan.
