Colts Trade Brendan Perlini To Niagara

Barrie, ON - The Barrie Colts have announced today that they have completed a trade with the Niagara IceDogs.

The Barrie Colts obtain forward Mitchell Theoret and a conditional 2nd round pick in 2016.

In exchange the Colts send the Niagara IceDogs, forward Brendan Perlini and a 6th round pick in 2015.

Brendan Perlini was Barrie's 1st round pick, 16th overall in the 2012 OHL priority selection draft. The 6'2" 182 winger was in his first season with the Barrie Colts. The Sault Ste. Marie native picked up 1 goal and 1 assist in 32 games played this season.

Mitchell Theoret was originally drafted in the 8th round, 147th overall in 2009 by the Niagara IceDogs. Theoret was also drafted by the New York Islanders in the 7th round, 185th overall in 2011.

The 6'2" 212lbs forward from Montreal, PQ has already surpassed his career high in points with 18 goals and 24 assists for 42 points in 35 games.

In 216 career OHL games Theoret has 41 goals and 50 assists for 91 points.
