Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen defeated the Victoria Royals 5-2 Friday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The win improves Calgary's Eastern Conference-leading record to 13-4-1-2, extending their winning streak to five straight.

Alex Roach, the game's first star, posted a three-point performance, tallying two goals and setting up one other, while Brady Brassart had one goal and added two assists in the win. Rookies Pavlo Padakin and Elliott Peterson, netting his first career WHL marker, also scored for Calgary.

Chris Driedger made 27 saves in the Hitmen net to record his 10th win of the season and fourth in as many starts.

Calgary next sees action on Monday, Nov. 12, when the Hitmen host the Kootenay Ice, with a 7 p.m. puck drop Past and present members of the military as well as all police, fire and EMS service members will receive complimentary admission to Monday night's game as Calgary honours Hometown Heroes.
