
York Wins 7-1 in Game Two of Doubleheader

York, PA - The York Revolution (38-25, 74-59) defeated the Somerset Patriots (28-35, 63-70) 7-1 in the second game this doubleheader from Sovereign Bank Stadium. The Revolution have now won the first three games of this four game weekend series.
York plated a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning as third baseman Chris Nowak slapped a two RBI double down the left field line give the Revs a 2-0 lead.
The Revolution added four more runs in the third frame. Second baseman David Espinosa hit a RBI double, shortstop Joe Thurston tallied a RBI single and designated hitter Andres Perez smacked a two run home run (23) to expand the lead to 6-0.
The Patriots scored in the top of the fifth inning as center fielder Joe Holden drew a bases loaded walk to make the score 6-1.
Third baseman Jeff Nettles would commit a throwing error in the home half of the fifth inning that allowed York to get an additional run as the score ballooned to 7-1.
Ryan Feierabend earned his eighth win of the season. Adam Champion suffered his first loss of the year.
The 2012 Somerset Patriots season presented by Ford will continue on the road until Tuesday, September 18th when the Patriots return home to take on the Long Island Ducks at 7:05 p.m. The game features Bark in the Park Night with a chance for all fans to bring their dog to the ballpark.
