
Bullpen Falters in 10-6 Loss

Orem's bullpen surrendered eight runs in the 6th inning and the Owlz lost 10-6 on Saturday evening.
The Owlz got off to a hot start tonight, scoring one run in the 1st on a RBI double by Jonathan Walsh and then two more in the 4th on a two-run double from Michael Snyder.
Unfortunately, the Owlz pitching reared its ugly head in the 6th inning as Helena scored eight runs on seven hits and four walks. Garrett Baker surrendered five runs in 0.2 innings, while Michael Morin allowed four runs in 0.2 innings of his own.
Helena held on in the 9th, as Andrew Ray struck out with the bases loaded in a 10-6 game.
Orem did get some solid pitching from Michael Roth, Pat Lowery, Brandon Efferson and Austin Adams. The four pitchers combined to throw 7.2 innings of one-run ball.
The Owlz have now lost two of three, and will look for the series split when Gabriel Perez takes the mound at 4:05 p.m. Perez will be looking for an Owlz record 9th victory. It will be Dollar Dayz at the park.
