TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Bisons face the Syracuse Chiefs in the first two games of a three-game set at Alliance Bank Stadium (Game 1: 5:00 p.m.). Because of yesterday's rainout at Coca-Cola Field, the Chiefs will be the home team in Game 1 tonight while the Herd will serve as the home team in Game 2. The Bisons have won three of their last four games and four of their last six.

THRUWAY CUP: The Bisons has a two-game lead in the 2012 Thruway Series standings. Buffalo is 14-8 in cup games this season and is four games up in the loss column over the Chiefs (14-12). Rochester is in third place with a 7-15 record in Thruway Series games this year. The games tonight and then tomorrow are the last three between the Bisons and Chiefs this season.

WHEELER DEBUT: RHP ZACK WHEELER will make his Bisons and Triple-A debut tonight. The 22-year old is the Mets' #1 prospect by Baseball America. In 19 starts with Binghamton (AA), Wheeler was 10-6 with a 3.26ERA. At the time of his promotion, he led the Eastern League with 117 strikeouts. He was an Eastern League All-Star and pitched in the 2012 All-Star Futures Game.

OH JENRRY: RHP JENRRY MEJIA will start game two. Mejia returned to the Bisons rotation last Tuesday and allowed one run in three innings in Indianapolis. Mejia made 16 consecutive relief appearances since beginning the season with three starts, May 30-June 9.

SILKY: INF JOSH SATIN leads the International League on-base percentage to .403. The mark is three points better than Scranton/Wilkes-Barre's DH Jack Cust. The last Bisons player to finish a season with a qualifying on-base percentage over .400 was INF Greg LaRocca in 2002 (.402).

BISONS BITS: INF ZACH LUTZ has hit .347 (25-72) with six doubles, a triple and five home runs in 20 games since being activated off the disabled list on July 4...Last night was the Bisons' first 1-0 win since July 20, 2010 in Rochester...RHP FERNANDO CABRERA is one save away from being just the sixth Bisons reliever in the modern era to record a 20-save season. RHP Dale Thayer had 21 saves last year...Since July 1, C LUCAS MAY has averaged .339 (19-56) with eight doubles and a triple in 14 games.

METS UPDATE : The Mets (53-56) fell to the Padres in San Diego yesterday, 7-3. Former Bisons RHP MATT HARVEY fell to 1-2 in his rookie campaign after allowing five runs in five innings. INF RONNY CEDENO hit his third home run of the year in defeat. New York is off today and will host the Marlins at Citi Field on Tuesday.
