Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

The IronPigs (63-54) play the finale of a four-game series against the first-place Pawtucket Red Sox (64-52) at McCoy Stadium... Even with a 6-5 loss in 10 innings yesterday, the Pigs have still won four of their last six games overall and five of their last seven contests against Pawtucket. Still, the Pigs have gone just 13-19 in their last 32 games --- going from a season-high 3.0-games up to 1.5-games back in the North... The Red Sox -- Boston's top affiliate -- improved to 13-8 in their last 21 affairs -- bouncing back from a 14-21 span from June 18 through July 14 (including a nine-game skid June 18-26).

RHP Scott Elarton (5-8, 5.06) will start for LHV against RHP Zach Stewart (2-2, 3.76).

First-pitch tonight is at 7:05 p.m.

Next up for the Pigs is a six-game homestand starting Tuesday that features two-game sets against Buffalo, Syracuse and Rochester.
