Dime Hot Dogs Tomorrow Night at the Whitecaps Game

COMSTOCK PARK, MI - Fans attending the Whitecaps first home game in a week better be hungry for more than baseball. Tomorrow, the 'Caps return from a six-game road trip to Dime Dog night at Fifth Third Ballpark. That's right-hot dogs are just 10 cents!

It's the team's second of three Dime Dog nights this season, and the first one on June 26 produced some staggering numbers. The 6,155 fans at that game ate 10,866 hot dogs, or more than 1.75 dogs per person. On July 4, competitive eater Joey Chestnut tied a world record by eating 68 hot dogs in 10 minutes-June 26, the crowd at the more than three and a half hour game averaged that in less than two minutes.

"We pride ourselves on providing affordable family fun," Whitecaps Director of Ticket Sales Chad Sayen said. "These Dime Dog nights are just a part of that."

Dime Dog night is the first of a four-game series between the Whitecaps and the Lake County Captains. The game is at 7:00 pm, and gates open-and hot dogs go on sale-at 6:00 pm. For more information, including tickets, promotions and a complete schedule, visit www.whitecapsbaseball.com.
