Donn Roach Named Texas League Pitcher of the Week

San Antonio - San Antonio Missions starting pitcher Donn Roach has been named the Texas League Pitcher of the Week for the week of July 2-8. Roach becomes the second straight San Antonio hurler to win the award after Josh Geer earned the honors last week.Roach made two starts during the week and went 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA while allowing just three hits in 11 innings. He walked three, struck out four, limited opposing batters to a .088 average and threw six, no-hit innings during his first Double-A start on July 2 vs. NW Arkansas.
The 22-year old native of Las Vegas, NV was promoted to the Missions from Class-A Lake Elsinore on June 21 and has made three total appearances for San Antonio with both of his starts coming last week.
