Walters Leads the Senators to 3-2 Win over Bowie

On Friday night in Bowie, the Senators completed the three-game sweep of Bowie with a 3-2 win. Zach Walters provided the difference with a long three-run home run to center field in the fourth inning accounting for the only runs on the night for Harrisburg. Ryan Tatusko started and went five innings picking up his second win on the season allowing just one run.

Bowie took a 1-0 lead in the second before falling behind 3-1 on the Walters home run. Pat McCoy pitched 1.2 innings allowing an unearned run but keeping Bowie at bay, turning things over to Cory VanAllen in the seventh with a runner on base but VanAllen finished the inning with a strikeout.

Marcos Frias pitched a scoreless eighth after allowing a lead-off double before turning the game over to Hector Nelo.

Nelo pitched a 1-2-3 ninth, the first 1-2-3- inning on the night for Harrisburg to earn his 11th save on the season.

Eury Perez had three hits for Harrisburg in the ballgame. After playing stellar defense over the last week, the Sens committed three errors in the game and walked six batters but still managed to pull out the win.

They head to Erie to take on the SeaWolves in game one of a three game series on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. The game can be heard on 1460am The Ticket, on the Internet through the Senators website, and on all mobile phones through the iHeart Radio app beginning at 6:45 p.m.
