Lake Elsinore -The Storm ran into a slew of hot bats tonight as the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes rattled off fife home runs in just six innings to defeat the Storm 7-1.

CJ Retherford, Jonathan Garcia, Leon Landry, Alexis Aguilar and Michael Pericht all hit solo home runs for the Quakes as they capture their six win of the last seven games against the Storm.

The Storm lone run came in the third when Chris Bisson started the inning with a leadoff walk and stole second on his first of two stolen bases of the evening. He advanced to third on a ground out by Rico Noel and would score on a SAC fly by Everett Williams.

Storm starter Mark Pope falls to 4-5 on the season and Rancho starter JonMichael Redding went six innings striking out eight in the win.

Relievers Jerry Sullivan and Dennis O'Grady both held off the Quakes allowing no runs and no errors in their outing.

Both teams remain under .500 with the Storm at 24-25 and the Quakes at 23-26.

The Storm will look to turn things around tomorrow at The Diamond when the Lancaster JetHawks come to town for a three-game series.

Red White & Blue Weekend continues tomorrow on a Sunday Funday at The Diamond for the 2:05 p.m. game. Fans are also encouraged to participate in the Operation Showers of Appreciation, an organization helping military families with newborn babies.
