Inland Empire 66ers News Release

San Bernardino, CA - The Lancaster JetHawks (23-20) completed a three game sweep over the Inland Empire 66ers (20-23) with an 8-4 victory at San Manuel Stadium Saturday night.

George Springer led the offensive attack for Lancaster with a four hit performance including a home run in the first inning that gave the JetHawks an early lead they would not relinquish.

With IE trailing 8-2 entering the bottom of the ninth, the 66ers bats made things interesting with a two run single by Brandon Brewer but will still fall short.

C.J. Cron continued his hot streak collecting three hits in the losing effort.

Inland Empire will look to rebound in game one of a three game set beginning Sunday afternoon at 1:05 with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. Max Russell (2-3, 4.50 ERA) will take the hill for the Sixers opposite Garrett Gould (0-4, 5.08 ERA) and the Quakes.
