New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release

MANCHESTER, NH - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, announced today a new set of beneficiaries for the team's annual Law Enforcement Night. In addition to the yearly support of the Manchester Police Athletic League, this year's event will raise funds for the officers directly involved in the Manchester and Greenland incidents during the spring of 2012.

On Thursday, June 21, the Fisher Cats and Fisher Cats Foundation will donate 50 percent of ticket proceeds to New Hampshire's law enforcement officers directly involved with recovery issues that they and their families are facing.

"We are privileged every year to host a night to honor the brave men and women that serve our communities so unselfishly," said Fisher Cats president Rick Brenner. "We look forward to uniting with our fans to continue to support the officers and their families in their recoveries."

For 2012, funds raised during Law Enforcement Night will support officers of the Manchester, Greenland, Dover, Rochester, Newmarket, and University of New Hampshire police departments. In addition to ticket proceeds, there will be other components comprising the night to raise additional funds for these officers and their families. The Manchester Police Department will conduct a 50/50 raffle while the Manchester Police Wives Association will host a bake sale.

Continuing a yearly tradition, Fisher Cats players and coaches will wear commemorative "Manchester PD" jerseys, which will be available for auction after the game to benefit the Manchester Police Athletic League.

Law Enforcement Night will also feature the presentation of the Officer Michael Briggs Community Hero Award. Since 2007, the award has served as a way to honor Manchester officer Michael Briggs, who was killed in the line of duty in 2006. The award recognizes a citizen who has displayed a commitment to community service.

Honor Guards, K-9 demonstrations, and motorcycle units will participate in special activities to honor the law enforcement officers.

Tickets for the night can be purchased in person at the Northeast Delta Dental Stadium box office located at 1 Line Drive, Manchester, NH, or over the phone at 603-641-2005, Monday to Friday 9 AM-5 PM and Saturday 9:30 AM-2 PM. Fans can also purchase and print their tickets at home by visiting www.nhfishercats.com .

The Fisher Cats return home on Friday, May 18 to begin a seven-game homestand against the Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees. Friday's game features a post-game Atlas Fireworks show. For tickets, visit www.nhfishercats.com.
