Round Rock Express Return Home Monday

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Round Rock Express begin an eight-game home stand Monday, opening a four-game series against the Pacific Coast League American Southern Division rival New Orleans Zephyrs (Miami Marlins). The series runs Monday through Thursday with a 7:05 p.m. CDT first pitch each night at The Dell Diamond.New Orleans ' roster features Matt Dominguez, widely considered one of baseball's best third baseman prospects. Dominguez was the 12th overall pick in the 2007 First-Year Player Draft out of Chatsworth [Calif.] High School. The Zephyrs bullpen includes 2012 Express member Beau Jones. Round Rock won three of four at New Orleans earlier this week, taking the final three games by a combined score of 25-2.
Monday's series opener features Dollar Hot Dog and Soda Night, presented by Mrs Baird's. There also will be a Child and Family Expo in the United Heritage Conference Center. The series continues with Two-For Tuesdays when all tickets are buy one get one free. Winning Wednesdays, presented by Texas Lottery, feature exciting game-show-like games between innings when fans have the chance to win fabulous prizes. The series concludes with The Original Thirsty Thursday, presented by Firetrol Protection Systems, with reduced draft beer and soda prices. There also will be Papa Murphy's Pizza sampling as fans exit the park following Thursday's game.
Sodexo, the concessionaire at The Dell Diamond, will host a STOP Hunger Canned Food Drive in partnership with the Capital Area food Bank prior to Wednesday night games. Fans can donate healthy, non-perishable items outside the first-base and home-plate gates for a free box of popcorn voucher redeemable at concession stands throughout The Dell Diamond.
