Rampage Shutout by Rivermen 1-0

April 1, 2012 - American Hockey League (AHL) San Antonio Rampage

PEORIA, ILLINOIS (April 1, 2012) - Jacob Markstrom stopped 36 shots as the San Antonio Rampage were blanked by the Peoria Rivermen 1-0 Sunday at Carver Arena.

After a scoreless opening 39 minutes, Peoria notched the game's first and only goal with 0.5 seconds left in the second period. TJ Hensick, camped out at the near post, deposited Cade Fairchild's rebound off the end boards behind Markstrom and into the net for a 1-0 lead.

Rivermen goalie Alex Stalock did the rest stopping all 31 San Antonio shots to earn his first shutout of the season and first since April 10, 2010.

The Rampage (37-28-3-2) are back in action at 7:00 p.m. (CST) Wednesday when they host the Chicago Wolves at the AT&T Center.
