Less than four minutes after Giroux's equalizer, Andrew Joudrey gave the Falcons their first lead of the night when he converted at 15:10 of the final frame giving the Falcons a 3-2 advantage.

The Falcons started their stretch of three unanswered goals at 6:33 of the second period when Joudrey tallied his first marker of the night, 10th on the season, cutting Springfield's deficit to 2-1.

Worcester had the game's early lead and when Sebastian Stalberg tallied at 3:15 of the middle frame, the Sharks had a 2-0 lead on the Falcons.

The Sharks opened the scoring in the first period when Brodie Reid converted on the power play just 4:09 into the opening frame.
