Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack snapped a six game skid last Saturday night against the Belleville Bulls and will look to put together a winning streak when they travel to Erie this evening. Michael Halmo and Daniel Catenacci have been leading the way offensively for the Attack with a combined 10 goals and 13 assists in their last 6 games played. Both players have moved up the OHL scoring charts as of late with Daniel Catenacci sitting in 15th place and Michael Halmo climbing up to 5th spot amongst the OHL elite.
Jay Gilbert (Upper Body) is day to day while defenseman Kurtis MacDermid (Flu) is inching his way closer to a return.
Wednesday, February-08-12: Attack @ Erie - The Attack will be looking for a victory against the Erie Otters, who currently occupy the 20th slot in the Ontario Hockey League standings, however; there doesn't ever seem to be any easy games against the Otters. The Attack are 4-1 against the Otters this season with their only loss coming in the teams first meeting of the season. The Attack has reeled off four straight victories over the Otters by scores of 6-3, 3-1, 3-1 and 5-0 and will be looking for a 5th on Wednesday evening in Erie. There is a serious youth movement in Erie right now with 14 of their 22 having been born in 1994 or 1995, making them the youngest team in the Ontario Hockey League.
Look Out For - Dane Fox has added some offense to the Erie line-up since coming over from the London Knights in the Greg McKegg trade. Fox has averaged a point per game with seven of the eleven points being goals, including a marker against the Attack on January 13th.
Last 10 Games - Attack: 4-4-1-1 (3rd in MidWest) Erie: 2-6-2-0 (5th in MidWest)
Wednesday's game can be heard live on Grey Motor's Bear Radio on 560 CFOS with Fred Wallace. Game time in Erie 7:00pm.
