Williams' Great Effort Earns Otters a Point in 2-1 Shootout Loss

Erie, Pa. - Dan Catenacci scored the shootout winner for the Owen Sound Attack as Devin Williams had another terrific start with 33 saves for the Erie Otters, who lost 2-1 Wednesday night.

The game was scoreless until the Attack broke through late in the second period. Catenacci scored on the power play with 2:46 remaining in the period to put the Attack on the board.

Stephen Harper tied the game with his 17th goal of the season after taking a great pass from Jake Evans for a breakaway, beating Jordan Binnington with a shot between the legs 3:27 into the third.

Each team had opportunities to take the lead through the remainder of the game. Williams helped Erie earn a point with many great saves, including a robbery of Cameron Brace with the right arm on a breakaway late in the third.

The game would go into a shootout. Artur Gavrus scored in the first round for Owen Sound, and he was matched by Harper's first career shootout goal. The game would not be decided until the sixth round of the shootout, when Catenacci iced the game for the Attack with a shot through the five hole of Williams.
