
Condors Acquire Lewadniuk from Idaho for Gergen

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors announced today that the team has acquired C Aaron Lewadniuk from the Idaho Steelheads in exchange for F Michael Gergen. He is expected here this weekend when the Condors host the Eagles.
The 6'0", 181 lbs. center played in 31 games with the Steelheads this season, recording seven goals and six assists for 13 points. He was fourth on the team's active scoring list at the time of the deal and had 4 points (2g-2a) in 4 games played against the Condors this season.
The second-year pro spent last season in the ECHL's Western Conference as well with the Ontario Reign. In 69 games played, he tallied 17 goals and 14 assists for 31 points. Seven of his goals came against the Condors as he was also named to the 2011 ECHL All-Star Classic held in Bakersfield.
He played two seasons for the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League (WHL) including registering 86 points (37g-49a) in 65 games played as the Wheat Kings advanced to the Memorial Cup.
Gergen was one of two returning Condors from the 2010-11 season. The Hastings, MN native played 21 games with four goals and six assists for 10 points, splitting time between forward and defense. He had missed the last 13 games due to injury.

There will be a post-game Skate with the Team following the game on Saturday with limited skate rentals available for $5. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the puck drops a 7 p.m. both nights.
