FRISCO, Texas (Oct. 7, 2011) - FC Dallas and U.S. National Team midfielder Brek Shea faces teammate and Honduran international Marvin Chavez Saturday night when the U.S. National Team hosts Honduras in an international friendly at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. The match is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m. CT on FOX Soccer and Univision.

Shea has emerged as a favorite of U.S. National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann after assisting on Robbie Rogers' goal in the 73rd minute of a 1-1 draw against Mexico on Aug. 10. The Texas native has played the full 90 minutes in both of the U.S.'s matches since, logging a total of 210 minutes. That total ranks third on the team during Klinsmann's tenure behind goalkeeper Tim Howard (270) and defender Carlos Bocanegra (270). Shea is looking for his sixth Cap with the U.S. National Team.

Chavez, who initially signed with FC Dallas on Aug. 19, 2009, has played 84 minutes for the Honduran National Team in the team's last three matches. He just missed the back post with a well-struck volley following a cross from teammate Jerry Bengston in the 65th minute of a 2-0 win over Venezuela on Aug. 10. Looking to provide that same spark off the bench for Luis Suarez's side, Chavez nearly beat goalkeeper David Ospina to the far post in 87th minute of a 2-0 loss to Colombia on Sept. 3.

Chavez started Honduras' latest match. The midfielder logged 28 minutes in a 3-0 loss to Paraguay on Sept. 6 before leaving the match with an ankle injury. Chavez was not on the field for any of Paraguay's three goals.
