Winterhawks Announce Training Camp Schedule

The Winterhawks will officially begin the 2011-12 season when players report to training camp on Wednesday, August 24.

Players will report for physicals and fitness testing at the Memorial Coliseum that day, then on-ice practices begin the following day, Thursday, August 25. All on-ice sessions will be held at Winterhawks Skating Center in Beaverton.

Fans looking to catch the players in action can check out the annual Neely Cup intrasquad tournament, where the Winterhawks split the players into four teams. The Neely Cup features daily doubleheaders on August 25, 26 and 27 from 4 p.m. - 7:15 p.m., followed by the third place game on Sunday, August 28 at 9 a.m. and the first place game at 10:45 a.m. All games will be free of charge at Winterhawks Skating Center.

Following the Neely Cup, the Winterhawks will hold daily practices beginning August 29, leading up to the preseason opener on Saturday, September 3 in Everett.
