Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

Albuquerque Isotopes left-handed starter Dana Eveland has been named Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week for games beginning on July 25 and continuing through July 31 after pitching a masterful, three-hit shutout of the Omaha Storm Chasers.

The left-hander dominated the Storm Chasers on July 23, allowing just three hits (all singles) in nine shutout innings while earning his fourth straight win and his PCL-leading 11th victory of the season. Eveland's shutout is the first of his nine-year professional career and he becomes just the seventh pitcher to toss a nine-inning shutout in Isotopes history.

Eveland becomes the third ‚¬ËœTopes pitcher to earn PCL Pitcher of the Week accolades, joining John Ely and Randy Keisler, the most of any PCL pitching staff this year and the most to garner the accolade in any one season in franchise history.

The ‚¬ËœTopes are back home this Wednesday for a big eight-game homestand against the Tacoma Rainiers, Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, and the Salt Lake Bees, top affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. On tap for the eight games are an Orbit Bank giveaway, Isotopes hat night, and another spectacular fireworks show! Tickets for any Isotopes game may be purchased at the Isotopes Park Box Office, at Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 1-800-745-3000, or on-line at www.albuquerquebaseball.com or www.ticketmaster.com.
