JACKSON GENERALS RECAP: - The Generals scored nine more runs Friday night, including seven in the first frame to take game three against Carolina 9-6 at Five County Stadium, in Zebulon, NC. The Generals run total over the past six games is up to 47 and notching 30 hits over the previous two games. Jackson leads the series 2-1 midway through the six-game set. Brandon Haveman recorded his sixth straight multi-hit game, going 2-for-3, scoring two runs prior to leaving the game in the fifth inning. Haveman smashed into the centerfield wall and was removed from the game. Johermyn Chavez was 3-for-5, with a home run and two RBI's. Rich Poythress was 2-for-4 with three RBI's and Joe Dunigan was 2-for-5, driving in a run and scoring two, recording a pair of doubles. Carlos Triunfel was the fifth Generals with at least two hits, wrapping up the night 2-for-4 with an RBI. Erasmo Ramirez (7-6) allowed four runs (three earned) over 6.1 innings to get his first victory since June 4th. Ramirez walked one and struck out five in the outing. Stephen Pryor made his Double-A debut and struck out two over 1.1 innings behind Ramirez. Matt Klinker (5-6) suffered the loss Friday with eight runs allowed on 11 hits in 4.1 innings.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE: Brandon Haveman recorded his 6th straight multi-hit game last night, prior to leaving the game in the 5th. During this streak he is batting .565 (13x23) with 6 runs scored, 2 doubles, 1 triple, 1 homerun and 6 RBI. Rich Poythress has hit in 5 straight games, batting .429 (9x21) with 5 runs scored, 3 doubles, 1 triple, 2 home runs, and 7 RBI. Brandon Bantz has a 4 game hitting streak, batting .500 (7x14) with 4 runs scored and 4 RBI.

TODAY'S STARTER: RHP Tom Wilhelmsen starts tonight for Jackson against Carolina coming off his best start of the season, giving up 2 earned runs in 6.1 innings Sunday against Birmingham. Wilhelmsen will be making his 10th start of the season and 12th overall appearance, Wilhelmsen made 8 relief outings with the Mariners prior to being optioned to Jackson on May 19th.

PRYOR TO PRO DAYS: RHP Stephen Pryor returns to the Volunteer state after prepping at Friendship Christian High School and attending Cleveland State CC in Chattanooga and Tennessee Tech in Cookville. While at FCS, he led Commanders to the 2007 State Championship defeating Jackson Christian 13-3 at MTSU's Floyd Stadium.

ALUMNI REPORT: Dustin Ackley has recorded 18 hits since his debut with Seattle, including 3 doubles, 2 triples, 3 home runs, and 9 RBI.he has reached base safely via hit or walk for the 20th time of his 21 games this season.

FINAL TRIP TO ZEBULON: This is the Mudcats' final year as the Double-A affiliate for the Cincinnati Reds before the franchise moves to Pensacola, FL, and is replaced at Five County Stadium by the Class A Carolina League club currently playing its final season as the Kinston Indians. This is the 21st year of Double-A baseball in Zebulon, NC
