(Corpus Christi, TX) - Officials from Ryan Sanders Entertainment and L&F Distributing announced today that Robert Earl Keen will headline the Ziegfest Texas Music Festival at Whataburger Field on Saturday, October 22nd. Tickets for the event will go on sale Friday, July 1st. More event details and additional artists will be announced leading up to the on-sale.

Keen is one of country music's most prolific writers and artists. He's had his songs recorded by George Strait, Lyle Lovett, Shawn Colvin, the Dixie Chicks and the Highwaymen (Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash & Kris Kristofferson); appeared in prestigious publications like Men's Journal; performed on Late Night With Conan O'Brien and The Today Show; had Garth Brooks mention his music in one of his own songs, and played concert venues steadily for more than 20 years.

Keen consistently plays sold-out shows for audiences that number sometimes as many as 25,000.

Ziegfest Music Festivals are in their 9th year across Texas, and this is the second time the event has been held at Whataburger Field. The stadium is the home of the Texas League's Corpus Christi Hooks, the Houston Astros Double-A affiliate.
