
Breakfast with the Sea Dogs to Benefit STRIVE

Portland, Maine- The Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, will host "Breakfast with the Sea Dogs" to benefit STRIVE on Memorial Day (Monday, May 30th) from 8:00 to 9:30 AM at Hadlock Field.
The Sea Dogs will serve a continental breakfast in the Hadlock Field Picnic Grove. The 2011 Portland Sea Dogs team will be on hand for photos and autographs from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. Come meet the Sea Dogs and enjoy breakfast at the ballpark.
Tickets for "Breakfast with the Sea Dogs" are $15.00 with all the proceeds going to STRIVE. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at 207-874-9300 or online at www.seadogs.com.
The STRIVE Program of PSL Services is designed to address the many issues faced by young adults (ages 15-24) with disabilities. Areas that we focus on include: improving fundamental academic skills, developing leadership potential, improving economic opportunities through continuing education, enhancing or upgrading work skills, integrating literary and social skills into occupational/vocational opportunities, fostering career opportunities through education and training, and promoting peer support for parents and siblings of this young population. After breakfast, be sure to purchase a ticket for that afternoon's 1:00 PM game against the Trenton Thunder (Yankees) as the Sea Dogs will open the gates at 10:00 AM to allow fans to play catch on the field until 11:15 AM, presented by Mercy Hospital. The first 500 kids will receive a logo baseball courtesy of Mercy Hospital. Fans should provide their own gloves. Game tickets are required for participation in the on field catch. Game tickets are not included in the breakfast price and must be ordered separately.
