Missions Extend Win Streak With 2-1 Victory Over Frisco

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Missions are off to their best start since 2000 and extended their winning streak to five games with a 2-1 victory over Frisco Wednesday night at Nelson Wolff Stadium. San Antonio continues to hold on to the best record in the Texas League (13-6) and is two games ahead of Midland for first place in the Texas League Southern Division. The Missions will conclude their series with Frisco Thursday evening at the Wolff before welcoming in Midland for four games.The Missions were held scoreless for four innings until a Cody Decker two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth put San Antonio ahead 2-1. For Decker, it was his league leading eighth home run of the season. The home run by Decker was his second in as many games. Pitcher Matt Buschmann recorded his second win of the season, throwing a season high six innings.
