Energy Announce 2010-11 Training Camp Invitees

Des Moines, IA (Oct. 30, 2010) - The Iowa Energy announced today nine players that will bypass the 2010 NBA Development League Draft and attend training camp in Des Moines starting next week. The training camp invitees are 2009-2010 1st Team All D-League performer Curtis Stinson, 2008-2009 D-League MVP Courtney Sims, former Utah Jazz player Othyus Jeffers, former Oklahoma City Thunder player Kyle Weaver, Shyron Ely, Connor Atchley, Marvin Phillips, Stefhon Hannah and former Lin-Mar High School and University of Wisconsin standout Jason Bohannon.

The nine training camp invitees are a combination of returning players, an allocation player and local tryout attendees. Stinson, Sims, Jeffers, Ely, Atchley and Phillips are considered returning players for the Energy. Weaver. qualifies as an allocation player after being waived by the Chicago Bulls during training camp while Hannah and Bohannon were invited based on their performances at local tryouts earlier this month.
