Sundogs Add Defenseman Renaud; Sides and Visser Placed on 10-Day I.R.

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - Arizona Sundogs Head Coach and General Manager Marco Pietroniro announced today the team has signed defenseman Maxime Renaud (MAK-sihm reh-NOH).

The team has also placed forwards Joey Sides and Jason Visser on 10-day I.R. retroactive to October 23 and has moved forward Torren Delforte from 10-day to 30-day I.R.

Renaud, 21, split the 2009-10 season with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan and Baie-Comeau Drakkar of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), tallying nine goals, 29 assists and 75 penalty minutes (PIM) in 65 games.

The St. Eustache, Quebec, native spent his entire five-year junior career in the QMJHL.

The 5-foot-11, 177-pound blue liner appeared in 246 career QMJHL regular season contests, amassing 19 goals, 81 assists and 273 PIM. Renaud also skated in 20 playoff games recording seven assists and 22 PIM.

Sides has recorded three points (1g/2a) and 14 PIM in four games with Arizona while Visser is averaging a point per game with four assists in as many contests this season.
